have read somewhere in my trawling around of this regarding issues of 

i should definitely have included in my original post that the timing of these events 
is approx 26 hours after we initiated forestprep (ex2k3) - took the view that unless 
we have issues of latency of replication (26 hours would be this for me and we did 
verify replication of schema partition) that this was in fact unrelated ??
