First try and move the RID master role to
another box, give it 20 mins or so and then run a dcdiag again. If not then bury through this…. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839879 From:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Raymond Jette I did a dcdiag on all of the DC's in the
site and I got the following error message with I think is related to the
problem: Starting test: RidManager
* Available RID Pool for the Domain is
10602 to 1073741823 *<dc name> is the RID Master * DsBind with RID Master was sucessful Warning: rid set reference is deleted. Objects,DC=dcname,dc=com for rid info
failed with 2: The system cannot find the file specified. Any one seen this? Thanks, Ray From:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Robert Rutherford Sounds like DNS to me.. check the srv
records are in place and with the correct IPs. Also check your site replication
link – have they been generated? From:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Raymond Jette To add to the problem; I just tryed to
create a user object in Active Directory and I got the following message Windwos cannot create the
object because: The directory service was
unable to allocate a relative identifier. I checked and my RID master is online. From:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Robert Rutherford Is the new server the only server in that
site? Is not then are the other servers ok? Can the new server resolve DNS correctly
and the servers in the main site resolve the new server? Did you dcpromo the server at the new site
or at your base and then transported it? Where is the new server pointing to for
it’s DNS? Is the KCC on? Rob From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Behalf Of Raymond Jette I have about 7 sites. All sites come
back to a single site in From:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Robert Rutherford You stated ‘That change
has not been replacated to other sites
‘ So if you open replmon – u r seeing all your bridgeheads failing
on all replications? BR Rob From:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Raymond Jette Hi, I am having replication problems. Last week I checked
the option to remove "Brige all connections". I checked today
and this option is removed from all domain controllers in the site that I made
the cahnge. That change has not been replacated to other sites. I added a domain controller in one of my sites. The
computer object has not yet replicated back here eather. It has been
several weeks. When I check replication monitor for the DC not replicating
I get teh following >> Direct Replication Partner Update USN: 0 Server is current through Property Update USN: 0 Replication Failure: Changes have not been successfully
replicated from <DC Name for 114 attempt(s). Replication Failure: The reason is: The naming context is in
teh process of being removed or is not replicated from the specified server. Any ideas? Thanks for the help, Raymond Jette Network Administrator Mestek Technologies, Inc Phone (413) 564-5691 Cell (413) 883-2884
