Hi Rosen.
It'll probably work if you use an XP machine for the administrative policy editing machine. Install GPMC on it, and edit the policy from there. Be aware though, some of those settings work differently at the domain level, than at an OU level. They decide they are the "boss" and if you try to reverse them later, it can give you headaches.

Hello,
I am on the brink of getting nuts here. I have the following configuration: PDC - Windows Server 2003 Standard Clients - Windows XP SP2
The PDC also runs DNS, WINS, DHCP.
I try to use the active directory default GPO to restrict and configure the IE settinngs on all clients/users. The actual problem is that i cannot set the IE security and privacy settings properly(to medium) from the Active Directory default GPO. I try to use the "Import" function and use the server's IE settings, but i get a message saying something similar to: "This is Windows Server 2003 IE setting and other systems will not like it"
I try to do this in the User Configuration->Windows Settings->Internet Explorer Maintenance->Security->Security Zones And Content ratings
What am i missing something and am i on the right place? - _____________________________________ Rosen Rosenov , [EMAIL PROTECTED] University of Rousse, BG-7017
