I have a single domain and three sites, each site has at least one DC, and all the DCs are now running 2003. I also run our internal DNS using AD-Integrated zones, and each DC is also a DNS server. Since the upgrade, I have had slow response (and sometimes no response) to external DNS queries. I have two forwarding servers defined for each DNS server, which are public DNS servers given to us by our ISP (MCI). This usually manifests itself in calls to the help desk saying the Internet is down or some such. If I run nslookup, some sites will resolve immediately, others will resolve after a few nslookup attempts, and others will not resolve at all. I'm stumped as to what I should check. MCI claims everything is OK on their end. Am I missing something obvious in 2003 DNS that could be causing this? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
