Personally, I find it easier to let dcpromo create the DNS structure for me.
Then again, I am lazy at times. :)

Subject: [ActiveDir] Test forest

I'm trying to set up a test forest with one dc.
i've set up dns and created a zone- test.com and allowed dynamic updates on
this server and had it point to itself for dns.

however, everytime i run dcpromo, i get "the wizard cannot contact the dns
server that handles the name "test.com"

i'm running win2k sp4.
thanks
