Hi,
We found it. It had something to
do with name resolution...
We have two servers I installed
to migrate data from novell to windows. Those servers have the standard MS
client and protocols with aditionally the novell client. When I installed the
servers I especially piad attention to the protocol binding, etc. One of the
servers was performing OK, the other like sh*t down the drain. I checked the
latter server against the server that was performing OK and initialy I found no
difference. After checking again I saw one small detail. It was the priority of
the NICs. Both servers have two nics where of the NICs is disable. On the server
that was performing OK the disabled NIC was listed first and on the other server
it was listed second. I changed it to be listed first, rebooted the server (it
asked for that) and now everything is OK. I still don't understand it. Maybe it
was something else.... whatever.
Anyway, thanx for your
help

Pinto Hi
Everyone, At the
moment we're migrating files from Novell to Windows (W2K3) and we're using three
migration consoles. 1 of those consoles is performing like a race car, the other
2 are performing like "some guy that's doing 20 on the left lane on the highway"
;-) We
first thought it was the third-party tool, but we have done the following
tests: Conclusion
here is: file/data copy through the GUI is OK and file copy through the
command-line sucks... Is this
a bug? Has any of you guys seen anything similar? Hope
you can help! Regards,
Met
vriendelijke groet / Kind regards, Jorge
