Is there anyway to share a session without having users intervention? Or do you have to use third-party? It is client side I am looking to control, what I am looking for is a helpdesk remote control utility.

If You are connecting to the Windows XP on clients side it is expected behaviour - to share session with the client You have to use remote assistance tool
