Hi,

The root hints are stored in AD also. That's why you still see them in the
GUI, but there is another issue. Windows 2003 does not allow to remove all
root hints without at least having one default or custom root hint. For the
latter matter see  Q818020.

I modified the cache.dns file on my DNS server with AD int zone.  I am
looking in the Root Hints section of the DNS server and am not noticing any
modifications I have made.  Am I missing something?
