Hi,

Configuring the NTP service:
For machines within an AD forest there is no configuration needed. You only
need to configure the PDC FSMO role owner in your forest root domain to sync
time with another source. That other source can be an external source on the
internet of some clock on your network
For more info on this see the following URLs:

Configuring replication:
Before configuring the replication a design should be made that takes this
into account. The answer to the question what to do depends on your network,
its configuration and your organizational requirements.
For on how to design a site and replication topology see the "Windows Server
2003 Deployment Kit: Designing and Deploying Directory and Security
Services" (CHAPTER 3) at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=6cde6ee7-5df1-4394-
92ed-2147c3a9ebbe&displaylang=en
One each network you to:
* Securely place DCs at locations that need at least one
* Assign GC to some or all DCs (when only one domain -> all DCs)
* Assign FSMO owner owners
* Determine the number of DCs and GCs needed
* Create AD subnets and assign those to available AD sites
* Create additional sites if needed (basic: for each location with DCs
create site) and assign those to a site link
* Determine replication transport and create additional site links if needed
(basic: for each WAN link create 1 site link) and configure interval,
schedule and cost accordingly
* Optimize directory services availability if needed with the registration
of DNS records

The "Windows Server 2003 Deployment Kit"
can also help you design other services like DNS, DHCP, WINS and others

Cheers,
