I don't know why those files would appear in the desktop folder but those
files are the profile files.  There should also be an ntuser.ini and
ntuser.pol.  If those two other files are also in there then maybe that
desktop folder is also a profiles folder.

XP sp2 workstations. 

I have created a Folder called Desktop.  Permissions are administrator
and system full control users read only.   The users are set thru GPO to
be redirected to this Folder. That part is working.  The strange part is
that two files are showing up in that Directory.  

NTUSER.DAT
NTUSER.DAT.TXT

The local admin account appears to have ownership of these files. 


Anyone have a clue as to how or why these files are being created there?
