if the DCs also have DNS
and/or WINS services don't forget to adjust your DHCP scopes and possibly DHCP
relay agents
The only thing that changes in
DNS are the A records. Make sure these are updated. This also applies for WINS
if you use it.
There could other IP address
dependicies that are specific to your environment.
Inventory each machine involved
and also inventory relations between servers
cheers

duplex. Just subnet per wing for performance. I’m going to add all of the
subnet’s to the site definition but I’m more interested in the DNS/AD issues
regarding switching the DC’s to the new IP numbers. From:

links once you split. Latency, utilization, bandwidth, usage all play
a part in making that determination of separate sites or leave it all as
one. If possible, leave it as one site if you can. Just add the
appropriate information to the site information. From:

Johnson Hi all I’m in a situation where I need to
change the IP address structure of an entire building. The building contains a
single domain AD forests and one physical site. We are going to split the
building wings into different subnets etc. Does anyone have any opinions, links
or ideas on the best way to handle the AD/Exchange part of the
process?? Regards Peter
