I think you've misunderstood.  The OU or container in which the Group
existed may have been deleted.  If you're running 2003, use ADSIEDIT (or
equiv.) and review the lastKnownParent attribute of the group; it will
likely contain the parent DN of the object prior to it being moved to the
"LastAndFound" container.

the object(its a global group) was never deleted.
The whole global group ended up in the lost and Found container.
