Go to Start | Control Panel | Add Hardware. In the introductory dialog box, click Next.
Select Yes, I Have Already Connected The Hardware, and click Next. Scroll to the bottom of the Installed Hardware list box, select Add A New Hardware Device, and click Next. Select the Install The Hardware That I Manually Select From A List (Advanced) option, and click Next. Under Hardware Types, select Network Adapters, and click Next. Under Manufacturer, select Microsoft. Under Network Adapter, select Microsoft Loopback Adapter. I think I'm going stoopid. Where the heck is the loopback adapter install again? As I recall, it used to be in "install protocol" on the adapter. But its not there. Can you refresh my memory? I left my vmware disk at home. I'm at a place with no internet connection(I know, its freaking me out too) and all I have is this laptop and a win2k3 enterprise disk. I figured that while I was stuck in the backwoods for a bit, I'd work on my AD knowledge by installind AD on this laptop and screw around a bit.
