Yes I merely wanted the compatibility. There are programs out there that allow
you to use FUS in a domain; it’s just a shame that they dramatically
alter the logon experience. (It’s actually for a Media Center Extender
(where the PC is in a domain) for the board room). Thank you for your help as it all works
now. From:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Darren Mar-Elia No, it doesn't. There is
only one service that I know of associated with Fast User Switching, and that
is the Fast User Switching Compatibility service, which doesn't enable FUS in
and of itself. I'm not sure what enabling this service buys you because its
used to help apps that weren't built for multi-user execution to behave
themselves when they are started that way. From:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of joe Does fast user switching work on domain
PCs? From:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Darren Mar-Elia A startup script is probably your best
bet. Alternatively, you can use Services Security policy to change the startup
state of a service, which will give you what you need at reboot. From:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Hi, We need the Fast User Switching Service to start
automatically when we restart a client but of course this is disabled as it is
part of a domain. Is there anyway to use GPO, scripts etc to exert a control
over Windows Services? Thanks guys, |
