Title: Account lockout

..might check the event logs on the dc too – we’ve seen a virus or two lately that really tries hard to brute force any account names it finds, but usually just ends up locking the accounts out (which I can tell you, is exponentially annoying when you’re at home on the vpn :D )

Go to the command prompt and do a “net use”… see if there are any connections (mapped drives or otherwise) that look out of place.  Perhaps do a NET USE * /D (to delete all network connections) and see if the problem stops.

Good day everyone.  Here is a crazy problem I am having today.  I am logged on to my laptop writing emails and administering my domain and then all of a sudden my account will get locked out.. Just about every 5 minutes this is happening and I don’t really know why?  Where can I start looking to fix this?? I am lost.

Jake
