Hi All As of last Friday we have had a number of users that have complained about logon times exceeding 30 minutes - even with a local DC. These problems were all limited to a select group of XP and 2003 server machines. We have also had a couple of 2000 server machines that have had services hang in the middle of starting or stopping. Changing a service startup type or restarting a service would hang the console without doing anything.
Every case reported so far was running the APC powerchute software (older version). They all started functioning properly as soon as we removed the APC software. Has anybody else experienced this yet? It appears to be related to the JAVA cert expiring on the 27th, although the APC notification just says it will break APC services - it does not mention any affect on users or on other services. http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/olh_adp.php?ISOCountryCode=us&p_faqid=7202&p_olh=1 Regards; James R.
