Tom, as you can see from the other responses this is possible.

I would change your angle though. Query every machine for every service and
throw it into a DB so the next time you want to know about some service, you
can just look at that DB. You are spinning up on your environment and will
probably want to find some other service at some point.

The common vbscript way would be to use WMI to call out to the machines. I
would probably swing more towards perl and do a system call to some
executable. Knowing me I would call out to my svcutil tool with viewx
enabled which will give all services with some basic info on each line
including the account the service is running in. It is like svcutil
\\machine viewx or say svcutil . viewx for the local machine. Then it is a
simple matter of parsing the text.
