John-   Some more details please...   What do you have in place now, in terms of Active Directory and Exchange (versions, layout, etc)? Or is this a brand new install of everything?   Are you talking about Exchange forestprep/domainprep, or Win 2003 adprep forestprep/domainprep? From all my reading I don't think I run forest prep on the sub domain but do run domain prep on the MT root and on the sub domain. Am I correct....     john
