I've since extracted the chm from the help file and it indicates that they installed MSDE whether I want it or not and disable it if I'm not using it. That's really quite stupid. On further investigation, they use the standard windows component setup thing - going to see if I can't just do this by hand.

I have also found that you cannot remove MSDE without removing ADMT Regards; James R. Fatal error during installation. Has anyone else encountered this? Ive got a couple MSDE instances on here already and I suspect somebody else used instance 4 which is what this appears to be hardcoded to. Does anyone know if I can tell ADMT to use a SQL server that already exists?
