If you ran SBS boxes I'd be freaking out and going NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO............

Got Exchange on there.... we can't on our SBS boxes

Why you shouldn't

1. Outlook has known issues on top of a system with mapi/Exchange dlls
2. You've just introduced another app on a domain controller ..patching issues, threat vectors
3. There are ways to set up emailing WITHOUT outlook

Lemme get you the mapi kbs of why this is not good

4. Heard of MOM? and other remote management tools that can monitor such things?

Geeze people... you guys might as well be SBS boxes at this rate

Hi all,
I have a problem whereby our I've been asked by a manager to install outlook on our DC's to allow us to email back the services team when backups have failed. I am dead against this, I have just managed to split the DC & File and Print roles and reduce the number of domain admins. My gut feeling is against this, though I have no technical reason why this is bad? Does anyone have any views or advice on this matter?
Any scenerio's that could occur would be nice...
thanks Frank
