Hi
all I
would like to announce some exciting new changes to the ActiveDir.org web
site. We have opened up the site to allow registered users to create
content! If you’re familiar with the Wiki approach then the new
functionality at ActiveDir.org is very much in the same vein. For
a long time the mailing list threads at ActiveDir.org have provided some of the
best solutions available for Active Directory issues. What has been
missing is the ability to capture and summarise the issue and the solution in a
concise manner. Well, you now have the ability to do this by publishing
articles directly on the ActiveDir.org web site. I see this as a great platform
for community collaboration. Interested?
Then please sign-up by registering here: http://www.activedir.org/Register.aspx
. Once registered, you will be able to create new content immediately.
Registered users will also be able to comment on existing articles and (potentially)
to see content and downloads not available to non-registered users. I
have to thank Matty Holland (friend, ex-colleague, Group Policy guru and
general good guy) for doing the hard work in getting the new functionality off
the ground. He’s done a fantastic job. Please
note that the new functionality is brand new and a few bugs may still need to
be ironed out. If you come across any problems or have suggestions for
improvements then please email me and Matty: You
will notice that we have created a few categories as a starting point and that
these include Exchange and Outlook. It might appear strange that we have
included these categories on an Active Directory web site, but this simply
reflects the complementary skill set of a lot of the people involved in AD. Matty
and I reserve the right to exercise editorial control over the content. Tony This communication, including any attachments, is confidential. Thank you. Please note that this communication does not designate an information system for the purposes of the Electronic Transactions Act 2002. |
