Any command line app will do that if it is doing good parameter checking.
Some crap characters gets sent along when you do the cut and paste sometimes
for some reason.

This may sound whacky, but did you type the command in manually, or did you
copy/paste all or part from here or the joeware site?  I've had adfind/admod
get cranky on me when I do a copy/paste, but then work perfectly when I type
in the exact same thing manually.
