I would agree with this as the next step. I looked at the source for this
once before and I don't think the .DNS file was actually read in, it was
just dumped for admins to use as necessary. The .dnb I think might have been
read though. I have had to delete those files in the past when I had used
NLTEST /DSDEREGDNS to clean up some records and it never stopped trying to
clean them up (I saw it in network traces) so I ended up blowing those files
away and the problem was gone.

You also need to delete the netlogon.dnb file as well as the .dns.  The .dnb
is the binary version of the .dns.

That's what I feared.  I've been helping a couple of people in the groups
with weird DNS errors after a domain rename.  One in particular is
apparently seeing the file being populated with both the old domain name and
the new domain name...
