Subject: [ActiveDir] Wireless and logon script
Can someone explain the mechanics of the logon for me, when the user is on a wireless connection? We have Cisco Wireless Access Points, and a Cisco ACS, but I haven’t been involved with their setup. Basically the deal is when a user logs in to a wired LAN connection, the logon script always runs. When they log on with wireless, the logon script does not run. To me as a casual observer, it looks like the authentication does not happen until after a cached logon takes place and the user attempts to reach a resource requiring authentication, such as Exchange.
Thanks,
Systems Engineer
