Hello

We are interested in a purchasing a software to manage our Windows Servers.

Our environment consists of a Windows 2003 Domain (Security groups used for grouping some folder access).

A.   CENTRALISED FILE & PRINT ACCESS MANAGEMENT SERVER

The software should at minimum have most if not all the following features:

  1. Design & Administration:
    • GUI / web based
    • Light footprint – the software is installed into a monitoring station/server and the software pools the servers.
    • Easy setting of permission / access to folders
    • Tracks all changes to folder / file level (moves, transfers, deletion and copying)
    • Tracks failures / permission violation

  1. Reporting
    • Customizable reports
    • Tree view folder permission / access report
    • Different formats (*.pdf etc..) including web based
    • Who (User) and if possible from an IP / machine the access was given
    • All changes to folder / file level (moves, transfers, deletion and copying)
    • Failures / permission violation

B.   CENTRALISED SECURITY AND EVENT MONITORING SERVER

The software should at minimum have most if not all the following features:

  1. Design & Administration:
    • GUI / web based
    • Monitor network-wide critical alerts (can collect event log from different specified machines on the Domain)
    • Instant alerts on critical events on specifies servers
    • Tracks all changes to folder / file level (moves, transfers, deletion and copying)
    • Tracks failures / permission violation
