Not to rain on Ryan's parade, but there is a hotfix available that enables multiple Dfs roots on Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition:
"You cannot create more than one domain-based DFS namespace on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition" <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903651/en-us> I've been running it on three servers for a couple weeks now with no problems.
