If replication works the same in ADAM as it does in AD (and I do believe
that's the case), then changes must be committed before they're
replicated. Either the entire write completes or it is uncommitted
thereby saving you from corruption.

Subject: [ActiveDir] connecting MIIS to an ADAM failover/replication
setup

All,

We have two ADAM servers, one is the primary, the other is only used as
a
failover machine. The data is replicating between the two. We use a
common DNS name (myStore.myCompany.com) to resolve to the IP of
whichever
ADAM machine is up. Our concern is with MIIS connecting to this setup.

If MIIS was updating ADAM with data, and the primary machine went down,
would our ADAM data get corrupted? Or would the ADAM servers replicate
the data correctly, once both machines were back up?

Thanks in advance,

Greg
