This is a good question and I hope it gets answered. We have 20 sites and want to put servers out there and possibly do DFS w/replication to keep main copies at the HQ for backup purposes, but I am afraid of changes to a single file that is opened at several sites. I was considering WAN Accelerators/WAN Cache devices that negotiate the file locks, etc., that makes the file appear it is only open at the HQ file server. Anyone have experience with these type of devices?
