Actually, French and Spanish (and pretty much all the Romance Languages) have a far more uniform pronounciation than English does. For anyone who hasn't kill-filed this thread - I recommend Bill Bryson's book 'Mother Tongue' - for an entertaining and informative guide to the evolution of the English Language. PS: <FanFlames> Route - (rhymes with 'boot') is a line of travel between one point and another. Rout (rhymes with 'out') means to overrwhelm an enemy in battle to the extent that they run away and retreat. </FanFlames> -- AdamT 'Thank-you for not requesting read receipts' List info : http://www.activedir.org/List.aspx List FAQ : http://www.activedir.org/ListFAQ.aspx List archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/activedir%40mail.activedir.org/
