I have a user who, when I'm logged in using a non-Admin account, doesn't appear listed in ADUC. But using Find, I can locate the record, edit it, etc. Logged in with an Admin account, he shows up just fine in the list of users.
I took a look at his record with LDAPBrowser and I noticed that the attribute type for Object GUID is "text attribute" instead of "binary attribute" like everyone else. The random characters "W7k>Mn " for the value which I surmise are the ASCII representation of some of the GUID octets ( 57 37 AC 6B 3E B3 CD 4D 94 6E 20 86 F1 9B D4 BC ). In ADSIEdit, the attribute value is displayed in octets as expected. The user operates normally with no known hitches. How can I change the attribute type back to binary for this user? How might it have gotten changed in the first place? Thanks, Jim Becker Asst.
