Alloy Software (http://www.alloy-software.com/products/index.html).  They have two offerings.  We use Alloy Navigator, which is the more comprehensive of the two.  It includes network inventory, asset management, helpdesk, change management, . . .  The other offering is Alloy Network Inventory, which handles just as the name states.

BGInfo (http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/BgInfo.html) also does some basic inventory reporting.

Good luck in your search.

Subject: Asset Inventory (OT)

What does everyone use for Asset Inventory purposes?  We're thinking of having some sort of script run via GPO at logon to grab WMI info and software inventory info for our helpdesk in order to be "more armed" with information when troubleshooting end-user info. What's everyone else using for this?

Thanks
