So that is why you use either sidtoname or adfind from joeware... My EULA is
use it how like, if you make a few million though remember to buy a few
joewear thongs. :)

With sidtoname, it does a basic SID Lookup, 

Sidtoname S-1-5-blahblahblah machine

You don't have to specify the machine, that just allows you to specify a
specific machine to do the resolution on which is great to use if testing a
SID that you can't resolve locally for various reasons.

With adfind, it just queries the default forests main SID values

adfind -sc adsid:S-1-5-blahblahblah

Or if you looking for an adam sid

adfind -h adamserver:port -sc adamsid:s-1-blahblahblah
