Sure, if the box allows anonymous connections and you are
actually connecting as an anonymous user and you have enabled null session
(anonymous) connection to the share which can't just be done by modifying the
ACL, you need to add an null session connection entry in the registry for
that share.
When you connect to the share directly from a standalone
workstation, you aren't sending anonymous creds, you are sending your local
userid and password. You need to send null creds... net use driveletter: \\server\share /user:"" ""

Subject: [ActiveDir] (OT)silly anon access question
I have a share set up on a test box. The perms on the share give "anonymous
logon"access full control.
When I try to net use to the share from a stand alone workstation or a user
not logged into the domain, I get prompted for a user name and password.
With Anon Logon, should'nt I just be able to map without any prompt?
Thanks
