So this is usually something I don’t do unless I have a reason to. I’ve yet to see a reason to proactively flash firmware on servers. That said Compaq and Dell both have online flashing utilities that you can run silently. I hope you have a plan if something doesn’t work and you’re locked out even out of ILO/DRAC.

We have many servers spread across many location. I want to upgrade the motherboard BIOS remotely on all Server. I have well tested the BIOS locally.

 

What tools people use for remote BIOS update?
