Actually the one you want to watch is SCE (System Center Essentials) built for SMBs in mind... (current beta)

In the SBS space I don't see a lot of MOM use.... it just never caught on.  "M" space yeah, but not "S" space.

Level Platforms, HoundDog, we use them down here... but given that SBS spits out a built in daily monitoring email, MOM just didn't catch on... I think because the MOM Workgroup (which comes in Action pack) only supports 10 servers?

(a Kentucky based SBS firm is having a user group presentation that will be webcast on the monitoring software Level Platforms for those interested - if you are - ping me and I'll give you a sign up link - it's a free webcast)

MOM is cool...and expensive, anyway, do you know if this kind of monitoring software will kill the machine they are monitoring?

Subject: [ActiveDir]event log monitoring.

Hi,

I want to implement a system that will send me an email whenever there is an error in any of the event logs in my servers.

I could do this with an script or similar, but I don't have the time to do it that way and many other reasons.

I was wondering if any of you has used GFI EventsManager, my main concern is to know if monitoring the events will put to much work on the servers that I am monitoring, I don't want to crash my server because I am monitoring it.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Rezuma
