Hi , I am just beginning to program ADSI. I have been following your emails and they are always very informative and in detailed. I had a quick question. I work in a financial and we have Microsoft Active Directory and users are authenticated against this.
Using an ADSI brower I am able to see all dominains in the ADSI forest, all users, and their information such as machine mac address, last login, name, phone number and other office details. I can create something that can export this data out to Excel or some database. Is this an information security risk to our company especially related to employees information? Is there a mechanism by which we can prevent users from using ADSI browsers to extract such information from the Active Directory? Also are there any articles related to this?
