Without knowing your requirements I can't tell you which of those is something you want. They all have different applications...
I keep up to speed on hardware by specifying and installing it. I can rattle off the right Compaq or Dell server model number given what you're going to do with it. I'm pretty good with Cisco switches and routers in that respect too.
