james strachan resolved AMQ-671:
--------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
This was done by design.
The reason is, any transport at any point inside the URI can have properties
which are configured via the URI query notation. So we use () as a way of
specifying to which URI the parameters refer to
> CompositeTransportChannelFactory doesn't handle some connection URLs with
> list configuration options

> A connection URL with list configuration options (maximumRetries,
> failureSleepTime, etc ...) which doesn't put it parens around it's connection
> string as in '(tcp://localhost:61616)' is not processed properly because
> URI.getQuery method return null instead of the configuration options.
> CompositeTransportChannelFactory.java: answer = uri.getQuery();
> For example:
> reliable:(tcp://foo:61699,tcp://bar:61617,tcp://whatnot:61698)?maximumRetries=5
> will work but:
> reliable:tcp://foo:61699?maximumRetries=5
> will not work.
