Probblem with "messageSelector" in 4.0 M3

I am using 4.0 M3 and create a durable consumer with JMS API
"createDurableSubscriber(Topic topic, java.lang.String name, java.lang.String
messageSelector, boolean noLocal)". I found that ActiveMQ behaves very strange
when too long string is assigned to "messageSelector". The ActiveMQ is Ok if I
cut the string to short.
Anyone had this experience before? Any solution fo it? Here is my long string:
ehs.handler.event.type.email_sp=event_type\='email_unsub_promotion' or
event_type\='email_unsub_promotion_dne' or event_type\='email_user_sign_up' or
event_type\='email_user_sign_up_er' or event_type\='email_registration_confirm'
or event_type\='email_client_approved_offerr' or
event_type\='email_certificate_received' or
event_type\='email_gift_card_redeemed' or event_type\='email_password_lost' or
event_type\='email_resend_sign_up'
