I've updated to the May 10 SNAPSHOT and am having the same issue. I tried setting an explicit policy for each topic, rather than use a wildcard and then it works as expected.
Unfortunately I don't know my topic names up front so I need the wildcard policy to work. I'll open an issue as I don't see anything covering this problem yet.
