No offence, Vance, but this is standard (DOS) procedure, here. You have to
enter your changes first, and THEN type "set save".

>From the "help set" command:
        .
        .
        .
set save
- Save current options as defaults.
                .
                .
                .

This means, you have to designate what your "current" options are, first,
and then Save them.

Hope this helps.

                Subject: PPM Options not saved

From PPM, I'm typing "set save". But next time I go in to
PPM, all of my
                options have been wiped out.

                I'm using activeperl 5.6.0 build 623. I also have PDK 2.0
installed.

                Here's a copy of what I've typed:
                PPM> set save
                PPM> set
                Commands will not be confirmed.
Temporary files will not be deleted.
                Case-sensitive searches will be performed.
Package installations will not continue if a dependency
cannot be
                installed.
Tracing info will be written to 'c:\temp\PPM.LOG'.
                Screens will not pause.
                Query/search results will be verbose.
                Current PPD repository paths:
                        local1: E:\Downloads\perl\PRK\packages
Packages will be built under: c:\temp
                PPM> exit
                Quit!

                E:\Downloads\perl\PRK\packages\5.6>PPM
PPM interactive shell (2.1.2) - type 'help' for available
commands.
                PPM> set
                Commands will not be confirmed.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated - thanks,
                Vance
