For starters you can type perl -v  from the dos prompt.

Subject: Questions on an install...

I am running Windows 2000, and I am trying to install ActiveState Perl, but I have no idea if it is installed right.  And even if it does install right, how can I test it???  This is the first time I have tried this, and I do not know what to look for...

Thank you,
