Peter, Thanks for your getting in touch. I think I had already got DCOM and MSVCRT installed on my computer (I did not put them myself). I added WSH (the Windows scripting host) but there was no use since theversion of IE I use already comprises a scripting host.
Now, I eventually managed to have PerlScript running by downloading the ZIP version of ActivePerl-5.6.1.629[...], extracting PerlSE.dll to perl/bin, and registering it with regsvr32 as explained by Jenda Krynicky.
