I was thinking as to how such a post could be answered - I think Aaron did a
perfect and impressive job.

I have developed perl with a GUI, but that was GTK on Linux.

Most perl GUI development happens on unix using TK, GTK, QT, or wxWindows.
Most windows GUI development is using VB, or C++ rather than Perl.

It is rare that people do Perl GUI development on Windows.

Neither - its the right place to ask AFAIK, but chances are most people on
the list don't know the answer and those that do might not be subscribed or
might miss your mail - I only get to read every 5th or 10th message - most
are just archived without being read, I'm on about 12 technical mailing
lists and don't have time to read every message on every list - in fact some
lists don't get read for weeks at a time.

> Are here only command lind freaks hating and ignoring every GUI user?

There might well be command line gurus who dislike GUI's - I much prefer the
command line for most tasks. But I don't think anybody actually dislikes GUI
programmers : you probably have more sympathy than anything else ;)

Busy people, or people who don't know the answer, or people who haven't had
a chance to answer or worried they would give the wrong answer.

laters,

A.
