using @ARGV I have yet to understand the love of this array. Maybe I'm just plain silly but I like to use real variable names and stuff so I usually do something like
my $param = shift || ""; this was I don't get yelled at when I use
warnings if no param inputted and I can use a
name instead of $ARGV[0].
