Note that there are TWO accounts to consider privileges on.

- the source account, which needs the indicated rights of the replace
process token, bypass traverse checking, and act as part of the
operating system.

- the destination account, which needs to be granted the appropriate
logon type (batch, service or interactive)

Subject: Win32::AdminMisc::LogonAsUser

Hey,

OK, I am at my wits end here. I have been trying to get this
routine to work and I just keep running into headaches.
I have been trying to run the RUNAS.PL script that comes with the
Win32::AdminMisc module, and no dice. The error that it
returns is,

"Completed Successfully",

and in another script I have tried I get,

"user does not have the correct privilege"

and yet a third,

"incorrect function"

So I think I have managed to hit all the errors that this module has put
forth and have been repeated on the Mailing Lists.

That being said, lets me start from the beginning. I have an account,
in
the,

RICH domain,
STEVE User,
123456 password.

I am attempting to run this on my workstation Windows NT 4.0 which is a
part
of the RICH domain. I have given this account all the
privileges that are offered on the local machine to this account. I
mean
ALL. Auditing, Shutdown system, System Time. I was not
going to miss anything.

These are my theories but a little help is always welcome.

A) The Module is querying the workstation for the user account.
B) The Module is querying the domain for the user rights.
C) I have no idea.

So any ideas?

Steve K
