Jack,

The Crypt-SSLeay.ppd is meant to point to a repository. It's not meant to be downloaded. What you need to do is use ActivePerl's PPM3, and type:

rep add <whatever name you like > http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/ppmpackages/

This will tell PPM3 that there is a repository of perl *.ppds at that URL. Then typing "rep" will show all repositories, one of which shuold be <whatever name you like>.

Once you do that, just type:
search Crypt-SSLeay

The results should be numbered. You can type "install <number>" to install Crypt-SSLeay.

Good luck. My Activeperl 6xx kept crashing whenever I tried to search for it!

Hi, Tianyu:
How did you do that? I access http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/ppmpackages,
when I click Crypt-SSLeay.ppd, I got the following message instead of a
download.
OpenSSL glue that provides LWP https support Joshua Chamas <josh (at)
chamas dot com> install_ssl.

In addition, I am using ActivePerl for Windows.

Thanks Bill!

Well, I was able to access the repository and install the package, but I
received the message "No suitable target for installation found." Is
there something I have to do to link in my openSSL installation? I'm not
sure what target Pp3 is referring to,. but I'm guessing it might have
somethnig to do with my openSSL install or its location, or the path.
