Hello, in my humble opinion it is installed by default. Try the following:
c:\ perl -e "use Win32::Service;" if you don't get an error like the following it is already installed on your machine: "Can't locate Win32/Service.pm in @INC (@INC contains: C:/Perl/56/lib C:/Perl/56/site/lib .) at -e line 1. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at -e line 1." bye chris -----Original Message----- From: Hawk [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, February 16, 2004 5:11 PM To: Eyrich, Christian; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Controlling windows services Hi, Thanks for the response. PPM can not locate the Win32::Service to install. Do you know where I can get this? I have searched the perl module on activestate's website. Thanks again. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Monday, February 16, 2004 10:55 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: Controlling windows services > > Hello, > > you can use Win32::OLE with WMI or > Win32::Service. > > WMI are since Windows 2000 installed > on each machine and running.
