Hi all I had Activestate Perl 5.8.2 installed and runnig quite well
for more then a year now. I installed a demo of Komodo, and then uninstalled
it. After that, the ppm just stopped installing. I can search the repositories, but if I issue a install
command, the ppm fails with the following error: ppm> install Net::Telnet Searching for 'Net::Telnet' returned multiple results. Using
'search' instead... Searching in Active Repositories 1. Net-Telnet [3.03] Interact with TELNET port
or other TCP ports 2. Net-Telnet-Cisco [1.10] automate Cisco management 3. Net-Telnet-Netscreen [1.01] interact with a Netscreen
firewall ppm> install 1 Package 1: Error: PPM::PPD constructor called with undef ppd $VAR1 = 'PPM::Installer'; $VAR2 = 'C:/Perl5.8/site/lib/PPM/Installer.pm'; $VAR3 = 151; $VAR4 = 'PPM::PPD::new'; $VAR5 = 1; $VAR6 = 1; $VAR7 = undef; $VAR8 = undef; $VAR9 = 2; $VAR10 = ' '; I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, tried an
upgrade and clean install of 5.8.4. The problem persists. I tried installation
on a clean machine, and everything works fine. Please help, how can I maje ppm work well again, I’m
truly pissed Regards, Bozhidar |
