Um, I think metar is actually a format, not a misspelling of meta. Something to do with weather reports: http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/metar.shtml
I've never used it but I thought I'd clarify the question for our friend UKJay who sends emails as attachments. Perhaps he'll learn not to use stationary when posting to a group which may not have the proper clients to view his fancied up email. However, if I had to guess I'd tell Mr. UKJay to check on cpan.org for a module related to "metar". Good luck. -Wayne > -----Original Message----- > From: Lee Goddard [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Thursday, September 23, 2004 3:29 AM > To: James > Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: Metar data > > What sort of metadata and from where...? > > To retrieve it from HTML pages: have a look at > the bottom of the docs of HTML::TokeParser. > > Lee > > James wrote: > > Hiya > > > > > > Has anyone used perl to retrieve metar data? > > If so please send script... > > > > Thanks > > > > James > > > > -- > > > > > > > > --- > > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > > Version: 6.0.749 / Virus Database: 501 - Release Date: 01/09/2004 > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > > > _______________________________________________ > > ActivePerl mailing list > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs > > -- > Lee Goddard, BA (Hons), MSc > Lead Developer, ProCheckNet Appliance > > http://www.ProCheckUp.com/ > Changing the future of penetration testing > > +44/0 207 307 5001 > 44 Russell Square, London WC1 > _______________________________________________ > ActivePerl mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs _______________________________________________ ActivePerl mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs
